BioSol Ecology

BioSol Ecology Is a social enterprise trading subsidiary of Biodiversity Solutions with a group of independent professional directors all of whom are ecologists.  The company has been established to manage larger contracts on behalf of independent ecologists who will work together, and bring together, the skills required to meet the most demanding of ecology jobs.

The skills of the various ecologists we can call on is extremely wide and includes most of the best qualified people in the region with acknowledged experts in some specialisations.  Some are members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), the professional body that represents and supports ecologists and environmental managers in the UK, Ireland and abroad and all leading ecologists are very well qualified and experienced in their specialism.

All of the consultants are used to working closely with local planning authorities and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to deliver sound ecological advice in support of a wide range of planning and development schemes. You can expect a high standard of client care throughout, regardless of the scheme.

BioSol Ecology Pembrokeshire

Whilst ecologists are mostly based in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, they regularly deliver a full range of ecological services across Wales.  Our office is always ready to discuss your needs and to put you in touch with the most appropriate ecologists.

The range is wide and includes:

  • Protected Species Surveys (eg. bats, badgers, dormice, otters, reptiles and amphibians)
  • Ecological Surveys (Preliminary Site Appraisals, Phase 1 and Extended Phase 1, Ecological Impact Assessment, NVC surveys, Tree surveys)
  • Ornithological Surveys (Red Kites, Upland birds, Seabirds, Breeding Birds)
  • Special Services (Licencing, Post Development Monitoring, habitat Management Plans, Wetland Surveys and Management, Ecological Site Supervision, Marine Mammal Surveys)

Every contract is different but examples of recent work include survey work for housing developments, wind turbine installations, road modifications and solar farms and management plans for a large industrial site.
