The Phase 1 survey is a basic habitat descriptive and advisory requirement adequate for most development sites but for some sites with complex ecological issues a much more detailed Phase 2 survey may be required.
Using standard National Vegetation Classification (NVC) methodology, NVC surveys of this depth may be an appropriate way of developing a site management plan for land which is not going to be developed. It is a descriptive and detailed survey which maps and describes vegetation structures and lists species and relates them to the soil and their environment.
A full report includes detailed maps and vegetation classifications and will seek to fulfil the specific needs of the survey. We have ecologists who are very experienced in this field.
